"Here are collages and writings about my on-going woven explorations of rebozos. The rebozo is one of the main traditional garments used in Mexico transracially and transculturally. However, now it is not so frequently used by younger generations. RABAZA, REBEZE, RIBIZI, ROBOZO, RUBUZU is a word play of rebozo, which is an analogy of how I’m changing the design and meaning of the garment for us to keep wearing it. Since I can’t weave things for everyone I know, I made this zine in the same spirit of the textiles."
