Color Theory's first publication, Fight for Paradise, is a newspaper zine created to document anecdotes and perspectives from designers of color. This first issue is initiated by the prompt of 'divesting aesthetics'. This issue features a collection of essays, illustrations, and typography. Within these mediums the contributors explore creative sensibilities, resistance, and personal recollections. The contributors are Jessica Choi, Tom Chung, Sina Sohrab, Steffany Tran, and Samantha Vo. This is a small part of a larger initiative by Color Theory to magnify the work and experience of BIPOC creatives.
Color Theory is a small word of mouth design collective that simply exists to continue the overall discourse of design and its relationship to diversity, divesting, and decolonization.
