Learn more about INCA Press and the process behind publishing a multigenre creative work inspired by the archive, and experience a reading and discussion with the author.
Kin Ribeiro, Aeron Bergman, and Alejandra Salinas will launch INCA Press’ most recent title, “Pachakuti”, a hybrid text by Kin Ribeiro, a writer and organizer living in Chicago. Ribeiro has received the Paul Carroll Creative Writing Award, and their work has appeared in the Allegheny Review and The Wright Side.
INCA Press publishes experimental and contemporary art books—books as art, books on art, artist’s writings, and interdisciplinary inventions. The goal of INCA Press is to support writing that emerges from visual arts but eschews traditional boundaries between categories of artmaking and discourse. INCA Press supports the experimental work of artists, philosophers, poets and others living between the academy, art, poetry, sociology, and activism. One of the main principles of INCA Press is that art and culture belong to everyone.
