In 2018, Connie Sobczak and Collin Morrow began a project about aging and nature. Connie is the author of Embody: Learning to Love Your Unique Body (and quiet that critical voice!), creator of the Wise Woman Council, and serves as the executive director of the nonprofit The Body Positive; Collin is a photographer and gardener. Their intention was to draw parallels between nature and bodies with an eye towards exploring aging. This booklet centers around two series of Collin’s photographs: one of Connie’s body in nature, the other of rock landscapes. The booklet also contains statements by both collaborators; a mindfulness activity; and a conversation between Connie and Collin that focuses on the project in the context of their long, cross-generational friendship, but also meanders through topics like magic, queer identity development, eating disorders, ego, and more.
