The following pamphlet, without title or authors, was illicitly printed and circulated by the Jewish Labor Bund in 1906. The pamphlet features two agitational texts: “Sparkism”, followed by “Fantasy and Reality”. These fighting words, likely passed around by militants across neighborhoods and shop-floors, advance a critique of the newspaper Iskra [spark] and the still emerging strategic vision of Lenin and what would later appear as the Bolshevik party.

Translated and introduced by Dabartis with an afterword by the Prog Goles, Burn Your Books not only offers a significant historical vantage on past cycles of revolutionary organizing, but also functions to agitate in the present—prompting critical questions on contemporary organizational strategy.
